This report examines the distribution of health care providers is constantly changing. It is influenced by many factors such as both internal and external migration. Understanding and measuring where exactly these health professionals are located and how they move within the country is critical to the proper planning and management of the health care system. The Canadian Institute for Health Information worked with Dr. Roger Pitblado to explore these questions.
