Mothering Canada: Interdisciplinary Voices

ARM-UR (Association for Research on Mothering at the University of Regina), whose mandate is to provide a forum for the discussion and dissemination of research on mothering, and DEMETER PRESS extend this call for papers to all who wish to contribute to this exciting and important interdisciplinary (book) anthology to be published in spring, 2009. Mothering Canada is seeking creative non-fiction, personal reflections, scholarly writing, and critical essays, as well as poetry and art, on themes associated with motherhood in Canada in all disciplines.
Topics include (but are not limited to):
* Becoming Mother: breastfeeding, midwifery, pregnancy, birthing, post partum
* Being Mother: mothering late in life, single parent, multiple births, childhood illness
* Supporting Mother: public policy, mothers in academia/work/school, institutional support
* Empowering Mother: feminism, stay-at-home mothers, supermoms
