Printer-friendly versionA new International Women's Alliance was formed this month at the Montreal International Women's Conference 2010 (MIWC), with the aim of building a global militant women's movement in the 21st century. The conference was hosted by the Committee of Women of Diverse Origins and also commemorated 100 years since the launch of International Women's Day, first observed on March 19, 1911 in Austria, Denmark,Germany and Switzerland.
