Symposium on Female Genital Cutting (FGC): Focus on Canadian Approaches to Addressing FGC

The Sexuality Education Resource Centre (SERC) Manitoba has worked closely for 2 years with an African newcomer community in Winnipeg on the “Our Selves, Our Daughters” Project, to address FGC through a process of community engagement, research and education. SERC, in partnership with the University of Manitoba, is excited to host a Symposium that will bring together researchers, health practitioners, programmers, policy makers and community members who have a clear and direct link to the issue of FGC.
