Does women’s health research include all women? Sojourner Truth’s question, “Ain’t I A Woman?” is just a relevant today when we may still wonder if the health research agenda recognizes that the group we call “women” has very different experiences based on intersecting identities defined by race, class, age, ability and other social markers. This café is an opportunity to ask what has intersectionality done to advance research on the health of marginalized women? What still needs to be done? And how can women from a divergent range of social locations get involved?
