Homebirth: Facts, biases, and liability

The purpose of this presentation is to give health care providers and researchers a better understanding of home birth as an option for Ontario women and families. Currently, Ontario is home to more than 600 midwives - about half of the total number of midwives working in Canada - and midwives are the only maternity care providers who offer home birth as a birth place option for pregnant Ontarians.
