Franchophone social service agency that provides low cost or no cost professional counselling.

Seneca House

24 hour, 7 days a week, safe house for adults with mental health problems. Provides respite care and peer support. Phone ahead to ensure space and appropriateness of service. Soon to be offering a peer support phone line.

Sara Riel Inc.

Provides services as work placement, residence, and crisis counselling. The Workplacement Force can be reached at 237-9263. The Crisis Stabilization Unit provides short term care for adults experiencing psychosocial crisis and who do not require hospitalization. It may be reached at 233-2756.

Salvation Army Community & Residential Services

The Salvation Army provides a number of services for all people in need. Both men's and women's residences are available, and the Crisis Stabilization Unit provides counselling and a place to stay. Also provided is the Work Readiness Program for help in finding employment, the Literacy Upgrading program, and the Family Tracing Service (Missing Persons).
