Haliman-Norfolk Women's Shelter

Haldimand & Norfolk Women's Sevices is a charitable, non-profit corporation governed by an elected Board of Directors. Programs and services are funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services, Ministry of Child & Youth Services and the Ministry of Health. Project Grants have been made availible through the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Ministry of the Attorney General. Our many programs and services are enhanced by the generous support of community donations.


In addition to the services and programs for women who have experienced abuse and children who witness abuse, we educate and advocate for social, cultural and political change for women's equality and human rights.

Native Women's Transition Centre
Provides temporary residence for Aboriginal women and their children, as well as support groups for skills development for independent living, counselling, child care services and women's sharing circles. Kaushee's Place - Yukon Women's Transition Home

Shelter to women and their children who are leaving abusive relationships. Offers no cost thirty day crisis level stay and independent second stage level housing in a secure environment. Weekly women's support group for residents and non-residents, Legal Advocate and Child Care worker on site, 24 hour crisis line and drop-in outreach service.
