CRFSS is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and is staffed by qualified, dedicated individuals at all levels of the organization.

Our wide range of programs and services includes support, counseling, education, prevention and crisis intervention. Campbell River Family Services Society has been accredited by C.A.R.F. (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) since November 2004.

Created in Richmond, British Columbia in 1973, CHIMO Crisis Services now serves over 10,000 individuals and families each year from different cultural backgrounds, age groups, family lifestyles, and economic situations. CHIMO provides diverse services from community building to prevention, from individual crisis support to advocacy, and from peer support to education. CHIMO engages in collaborative community planning and develops innovative resources to address emerging needs.

In our more than 20 years of operation, The Corner Brook Status of Women Council has been engaging in activities to realize its Mandate. We participate in agency, activism and provide direct service for women. We have been operating since 1975, and incorporated since 1985. We are governed by a volunteer board consisting of 15 members, four of whom are the executive: Chairperson, Co-Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary. We hold monthly meetings participate in subcommittees to ensure efficient and reliable operation of the Women's Centre.

Programs and services are funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services, Ministry of Child & Youth Services and the Ministry of Health. Project Grants have been made availible through the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Ministry of the Attorney General. Our many programs and services are enhanced by the generous support of community donations.

 

In addition to the services and programs for women who have experienced abuse and children who witness abuse, we educate and advocate for social, cultural and political change for women's equality and human rights.

Provides a 24-hour telephone and TTY line for women in the province of Ontario for: crisis counselling; emotional support; safety planning; guidance around options; and, referrals for shelters, rape crisis centres, legal services and supports, community based supports, criminal justice supports and services, counsellors and therapists, support groups, and culturally and linguistically appropriate services.
