UN Women, in collaboration with the IASC Sub-Working Group on Gender and Humanitarian Action, is commissioning a research study to assess how gender equality programming (GEP) influences humanitarian outcomes.
While several studies have documented the negative consequences of gender-blind programming in emergencies, very few have looked for evidence that, conversely, the application of GEP has a demonstrable, positive impact on humanitarian outcomes.
