Developed in response to the 1994 NIH guidelines on the inclusion of women and minorities in clinical research. Seeks to address potential issues that may arise as a result of NIH's attempt to recruit greater numbers of women and minorities into clinical studies in an attempt to more accurately reflect these groups in medical studies. Developed to provide guidance of key issues in the recruitment and retention of individuals into studies to investigators and their research teams.
