An exploration of the health-related impacts of the erosion of agriculturally focussed support programs for farm women in Saskat
This report is an examination of agriculturally focused support programs for farm women. It explores, using qualitative methods, the self-reported health-related effects of participating in these programs, along with the effects when the programs were eliminated. Through interviews with eleven farm women, numerous health-related benefits of participating in programs or projects were described and negative health-effects were shared when participation in the programs or projects was no longer possible through lack of funding. The women discussed what they thought was needed in terms of agriculturally focused support programs and this is summarized as recommendations in the report.
