Panos Canada is part of the global Panos Network: eight autonomous institutes in Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe. The Network has a strong focus on the economically and socially disadvantaged.
Individual Panos institutes have programmes on children & youth, climate, energy, environment & natural resources, food security, gender, globalisation, health, HIV-AIDS, human security, ICTs, migration, media pluralism, and pastoralism.
The BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) was incorporated in 1988 with the principal goal of regulating the professional practice of Clinical Counsellors (see below) in the province of British Columbia. The abbreviation “BC” is and should be retained in all official and legal references to our title. Today, the BCACC represents over 2,000 Registered Clinical Counsellors throughout BC.

Created in Richmond, British Columbia in 1973, CHIMO Crisis Services now serves over 10,000 individuals and families each year from different cultural backgrounds, age groups, family lifestyles, and economic situations. CHIMO provides diverse services from community building to prevention, from individual crisis support to advocacy, and from peer support to education. CHIMO engages in collaborative community planning and develops innovative resources to address emerging needs.
Our mission is to improve the health - considered as the state of physical, mental and social balance - of children, teenagers and mothers of Quebec in association with our health care, university and research partners.
