Review, Network Winter 2001: Examines the values underlying sport and their effects on athletes, coaches and the culture of sport. Sexual denigration, hazing, and domineering training regimes are just some of the issues Canadian athletes deal with, though in large part it is the silence surrounding these issues that remains the major problem. Sport is a part of society, not a moral oasis. It is time to challenge the racism, homophobia, and sexual abuse at play within.
